membership POLICY

This Membership Policy governs the rights, obligations, and terms of participation within the Global Entrepreneurship Forum (GEF), which is the official trading name of ASET, a UK-registered entity. This policy is designed to ensure compliance with UK law and promote ethical and inclusive entrepreneurship practices worldwide.

1. Legal Framework

 This policy operates under the following UK laws and regulations:
Companies Act 2006
UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018
Equality Act 2010
As a UK-registered organization, ASET (T/A GEF) complies with all legal and regulatory standards.

2. Purpose and Scope

This policy outlines membership types, benefits, eligibility, application procedures, member rights and responsibilities, termination terms, and data protection policies for individuals and institutions engaging with GEF.

3. Membership Categories

4. Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must be 18 years or older and demonstrate support for the mission of GEF. Institutional applicants must be legally registered entities. Individuals disqualified under UK or any other jurisdiction, or under sanctions will not be eligible.

5. Application Process

Applicants must submit a completed application form, pay the applicable fee, and agree to the Terms and Conditions. The Membership Committee will review submissions within 21 working days. GEF reserves the right to decline applications that do not meet criteria.

6. Member Rights and Responsibilities

Members gain access to GEF events, resources, and platforms and may vote in governance (except Honorary members). Members must comply with ethical standards and keep information current.

7. Termination of Membership

Membership may be suspended or terminated due to non-payment, policy breach, or unethical conduct. Members will be notified and allowed to appeal within 14 days.

8. Data Protection and Privacy

GEF processes data in accordance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act. Data will be used solely for administrative and engagement purposes, and will not be shared externally without consent.

9. Conflict Resolution

Disputes will be addressed through internal resolution channels, and where necessary, referred to UK-based mediation services in line with civil mediation standards.

10. Policy Review and Amendment

This policy shall be reviewed annually by the GEF Membership Committee and updated as needed. Amendments will be communicated to all members in writing within 30 days.
